Janitorial Cleaner and Parts Runner

We are currently seeking an experienced individual to fill the role of Janitorial Cleaner and Parts Runner for an industrial/shop setting. This position is full-time, 40 hours/week.

Responsibilities: 

  • General cleaning of the building.
  • Sweep, mop or vacuum floors.
  • Empty trash and recycling cans.
  • Clean windows, glass partitions, mirrors, doors, walls.
  • Clean and dust furniture.
  • Clean and stock washrooms.
  • Clean and service kitchens/lunch rooms.
  • Follow procedures for daily COVID-19 cleaning and sanitizing of high touch areas and completion of checklists indicating completion of tasks.
  • Maintain stock of cleaning supplies and replenish as needed.
  • Shopping for kitchen and/or cleaning supplies as required.
  • Pick up garbage on outside of property.
  • Shovel snow from sidewalks and apply salt on surface.
  • Notify supervisors about unsafe conditions or concerning the need for repairs or maintenance.
  • Pick-up and drop-off of parts, materials and supplies.

Requirements: 

  • High school diploma.
  • Read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Able to use basic cleaning equipment; brooms, mops, sweeper, vacuum, etc.
  • Able to understand and follow safety and security procedures and comply with health and safety policies.
  • Able to work safely with a variety of cleaning products – WHMIS 2015 certified would be an asset.
  • Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Able to follow instructions and work independently.
  • Ability to manage your time efficiently.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Valid and clean driver’s license.
  • Able to follow maps or GPS device.
  • Able to complete all required paperwork.
  • Must be willing to work overtime and weekends if required

Heavy Equipment/Automotive Painter

We are currently seeking a Heavy Equipment/Automotive Painter to perform prep and paint work to our rental and fleet equipment, as well as in-house fabricated items.

Responsibilities: 

  • Disassemble and reassemble equipment as required for painting.
  • Prep equipment for painting via sand blasting, soda blasting and various grinding and sanding equipment.
  • Prep equipment for painting via hand washing and power washing.
  • Prep equipment in relation to bodywork, i.e. trim removal, masking, block sanding and application of fillers.
  • Priming and painting of equipment using brushes and air guns as required.
  • Mixing and blending paint.
  • Application of decals.
  • Complete required paperwork for ordering of parts and record-keeping.
  • Maintain tools and equipment and clean as required.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Comply with all relevant Health and Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Must be physically fit and have experience working in a shop environment
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in automotive paint or related industry
  • Basic mechanical aptitude
  • Must have valid and clean driver’s license
  • Excellent communication skills (English) in both oral and written
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be willing to work shifts
  • Able to work overtime and/or weekends when required to complete necessary tasks
  • Must have own basic tools and spray gun.

Welder/Fabricator

We are currently seeking a top-notch Fabricator to perform a variety of work from repairs to our rental and fleet equipment to fabrication of equipment accessories, replacement parts, prototype designs and SPFX projects.

Responsibilities: 

  • Read and interpret blueprint, 3D CAD drawings and welding process specifications.
  • Set up machines and equipment
  • Operate grinding and sanding equipment
  • Operate various cutting equipment, including bandsaw
  • Operate metal shaping, straightening and bending machines, such as hand brake, press brake and shears.
  • Complete required paperwork for ordering of parts and record-keeping.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Comply with all relevant Health and Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.

Requirements: 

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in GTAW, GMAW, FAW, PAW, SMAW, TIG and MIG
  • Must be proficient in TIG aluminum processes
  • AutoCAD or Solid Works experience a definite asset
  • CWB certification an asset
  • Must have valid and clean driver’s license
  • Excellent communication skills (English) in both oral and written
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be willing to work shifts

Jr. Welder/Fabricator and Waterjet Operator

We are currently seeking a Junior Welder/Fabricator and Waterjet Operator to work within the Fabrication Department on a variety of in-house and customer projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean and dress materials in preparation for welding, repair and/or fabrication.
  • Operate grinding, sanding and cutting equipment.
  • Operate CNC waterjet cutting table, while monitoring equipment operation for speed and accuracy, upon completion of training.
  • Perform basic welding tasks and participate in ongoing training of welding techniques as required.
  • Assist fabricator and machinist journeypersons as required.
  • Perform equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance.
  • Load and unload materials and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year experience in welding and a shop environment.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Valid and clean driver's license.
  • Must be willing to work shifts.
  • Must be willing to work overtime and/or weekends when required to complete tasks.

Parts Counter Clerk

We are currently seeking a Parts Counter Clerk to assist in the day-to-day operations of the department.

Responsibilities:

  • Process in-house Parts Request Forms, bills of lading and packing slips.
  • Place orders with vendors for parts and supplies.
  • Prepare computerized purchase orders.
  • Issue and distribute parts and supplies for internal usage.
  • Receive, sort and count incoming shipments and store in an orderly and organized manner.
  • Perform inventory counts and maintain up-to-date accurate data.
  • Assist with maintaining tool crib requirements.
  • Assist with management of visitor control.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Comply with all relevant Health and Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year experience in automotive, truck or related industry.
  • Must be physically fit and have experience working in a shop environment.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude.
