We proudly introduced the LRX line of products in the early 1990's. The LRX is a totally self-contained robotic aerial lighting system.  Set-up is so efficient that it takes only  minutes and on-site relocation takes less time than a camera move. There is no extra equipment for the customer to supply. It is the perfect fit for every location and every budget.

The LRX lighting system comes complete with six robotic lighting heads, gel frame holders, ballasts for 6K HMI - 12K HMI lamps, dimmer packs for 12K tungsten lamps, sound-attenuated generator, full wireless lamp function, hardwire remote control, spare lamps, truck, flat black crane, and an experienced "licensed" LRX operator.

The LRX line of products are self-contained robotic lighting systems so efficient that within minutes of arriving at your location, they are completely setup and fully operational. The LRX line uses fixtures designed and built by Dwight Crane Ltd. We started with single-ended 6K HMI - 12 HMI - 12K Tungsten lamps for maximum unrestricted output. It was paired with a radiant-engineered parabolic reflector to allow the light a smooth transition between a very narrow spot and smooth wide flood. The LRX gel frame holders were designed to prevent light reflected from the lamp side of the gel from escaping outside of the housing; They are mounted to the front of the lamp so it moves with the lamp. Our specially designed gel frames were constructed to quickly and easily accept any combination of color, diffusion or heat shield on thirty inch square gel frames. The lamp heads are mounted to our robotic yokes which provide a wide range of tilt and pan functions. 

The light tree supporting the six fully articulated lamp heads is mounted on a bearing allowing all six heads to rotate individually and collectively. This is mounted on our  telescopic crane so you can position these lamps exactly where you want them. Tight spots are no problem--with one unit back-light your foreground and front-light your background--the possibilities are endless.

 
LRX I

LRX I features: Dwight Crane Ltd. built lights with  6 X 6K HMI bulbs. These heads pan 180 deg. tilt 90 deg. and smoothly transition from spot to flood. They are mounted on a 100-foot telescopic crane with a silenced generator, radio control & hard-wire backup lamp controls, magnetic ballast (optional electronic ballast) and a fast set-up time. These units can be quickly  gelled & defused on all 6 individual heads. LRX I and LRX II are famous for their quick moves--saving you time and money.

LRX II

The second generation LRX features: Dwight Crane Ltd. built lights with the option of using 6 x 6K HMI Bulbs, 6 x 12K HMI Bulbs, 6 x 12K Tungsten Bulbs (dimmable)  or any combination. These heads pan 180 deg. tilt 90 deg. and smoothly transition from spot to flood. Mounted on a 120-foot crane with a silenced generator, these heads have radio control, hard-wire backup and magnetic ballast (optional electronic ballast). These units can  be quickly  gelled and defused on all 6 individual heads. LRX I and LRX II are famous for their quick moves and fast set-up times, saving you time and money.
